Our Little Life Hack #8: Simplify Your Laundry Cabinet

I have been slowly transitioning all of our cleaning supplies throughout our home to more natural cleaners that are free of harsh chemicals that can be dangerous to our health.  Don’t know what I’m talking about? Check out some of the ingredients on the back of your favorite household cleaner and Google them with the words “dangers of” in front of the ingredient.  Endocrine disruptors and carcinogens are usually among the most common side effects!

The best part about this transition is that cleaning has become much simpler because of it! Less products, less time.  For example, here’s my current laundry routine:

Thieves laundry soap, wool dryer balls, and essential oil spray are my new must-haves.  First I wash our clothes in Thieves laundry soap, then I spray the mixture of water, Purification essential oil blend, and Thieves essential oil blend onto the dryer balls, and throw them in the dryer with the clothes.  No static, just clean, fresh, wonderfully-smelling clothes!   (Bonus hack: The Seedlings baby wipes from Young Living also make great dryer sheets!)  You can use other essential oils – like lavender or palmarosa – to scent your clothes, Purification and Thieves are just my favorites right now.

Want to try this out for yourself? Ready to begin swapping out toxic products for healthier options?  Click here to get started.  I’ll help you along the way so you don’t have to figure this out alone. 🙂
